All of the other eight "Halloween" movies, the 2007 version written and directed by Rob Zombie was a typical twisted, gruesome, slasher horror movie.

And like his other movies such as "House of 1000 Corpses" and "The Devils Rejects", Halloween was rated R and for good reason.

In "Halloween," Michael Myers, the main character, is a little boy who is bullied at school and has a very unstable home life.

Mayers, an extremely disturbed child, who always hides behind a Halloween mask, he starts off killing animals, a boy from school, then his babysitter, her boyfriend and his mothers boyfriend.

The only human Myers actually cares for is his baby sister. This happens within the first 45 minutes of the movie and I was already thinking about leaving the theater.

Myers is convicted of first degree murder and is put into a mental hospital in the care of Dr. Loomis. Mayers spends his time making masks until he is an adult, which is when he is able to escape and return to his hometown to go find his baby sister.

Now I am not going to spoil the movie, but throughout "Halloween" I found myself wanting to finish the story.

At one point I was for sure the movie was over. The good guys got out alive and the monster was killed, but I was very wrong. It gave it a good twist.

I have to admit this movie actually scared me. I found myself hiding my eyes, looking away and jumping a lot in my seat throughout the whole movie.

This does not happen to me ever during the typical horror movie.

Even after the movie was over I was a little hesitant walking to my car by myself.

The 2007 version of "Halloween" is a great scare-yourself movie, specially as the Halloween holiday approaches.

I even liked the tagline for this movie 'evil has as destiny', and it is evident in Rob Zombie's movie "Halloween".
