The EMT curriculum has two educational tracks providing students with an option to work in an administrative position within emergency medical services or to learn advanced specialized technical skills. Applications will be available this fall.
The Medical Assistant program also will begin in January 2009. The five-semester program helps students achieve an associate's degree preparing them to work in entry-level health care provider settings such as physicians' offices, health care clinics and hospitals.
Students will work under the supervision of a physician or other designated professional in office management, patient care and the collection and processing of laboratory specimens.
Only 16 students will be accepted into this class because it is a limited enrollment program. Applications for this program will be available in the fall.
For any question regarding the EMT or the Medical Assistant programs contact Cindy Ingalls at 676-7132, and questions for the ROTC program can be directed to Bob Murray at 769-3474.
